Defining our culture

We recognise it is important to give people as choice and control over their lives as possible and therefore we offer a service which takes into account Service Users personal preferences as far as absolutely possible. Your dignity, privacy and retention of independence will be of paramount importance in the delivery of your care and support.

In simple terms, our overall objective is to assist people to reach their full potential. We have expanded on this in our corporate Mission Statement, which is as follows:

To assist our clients, team members and the wider community to achieve the highest quality of life possible, through the provision of exceptional care and support; enhancing the wellbeing, growth and development of the individual and Blessing Agencies as a service provider.

Blessing Agencies Ltd is a needs based provider of superior, flexible and tailored domiciliary care and support. We recognise people as individuals and offer choice and opportunity to enable them to live safely, fulfilled and as independently as possible. We value individuals and work in partnership with relatives, regular carers and other agencies to help enable people to take as much control over their lives as possible, helping them to retain dignity and lifestyle choice.

Blessing Agencies Ltd Charter sets out our vision for how we will achieve this Mission Statement. Every team member is required to sign the Charter before starting work. It reads:

Meet the Team

Our Homecare Team is headed by our Homecare Managing Director, Mrs Marie Jeanne Umuliza and a professional, dedicated and committed Homecare Supervisors. This Management Team strives to ensure we maintain excellent, skilled and professional care staff to look after you. Each Homecare Support Worker undergoes continuous training and supervision which ensures we deliver the highest quality services to you. This training includes appropriate Health & Safety issues such as Food Hygiene, Moving & Handling (including the use of Aids and Adoptions), Handling Hazardous Substances, Medication Handling, training specific to the role of a Homecare Support Worker, including training in dealing with people with dementia. We hold regular meetings with our staff to ensure good communication and feedback. Supervisors carry out spot checks and regular reviews at Service Users homes to ensure work is being carried out to the standard required.

Marie Jeanne Umuliza is the Managing Director of Blessing Agencies Ltd. Marie –Jeanne comes to Blessing Agencies with 10 years’ experience working in health and social care, firstly in Delta Agency, Mayday Agency, Gardens Hospital, Respect Care Agency and Concept Care roles with Care Assistant for many years and with Islington Council Financial Department in 2010 before moving to Blessing Agencies Ltd.As Managing Director of Blessing Agencies Ltd, she played an instrumental role in the successful of the company on the delivered a range of high profile government contracts. She led the growth and development of the business taking it in the higher level across different brought in London.
Joining Blessing Agencies Ltd in 2012 as Managing Director Officer Marie-Jeanne developed and grew the business through a programme of acquisition and extensive tender bids before managing the successful sale of the business. She is responsible for overseeing Blessing Agencies Operations, Training Programmes, Marketing, Quality, HR, and Contracts Management.
Ambrose Goldersmint Development Director for Blessing Agencies Ltd and has 10 years’ experience of multi-site leadership within private and public sector organisations.He has acted as a Consultant, Operations Director and various other roles during her career within hospitality, Welfare to Work and charitable sectors. Prior to joining Blessing Agencies Ltd team, Brose Simon was Regional Director at the largest specialist employment provider, delivering specialist employment solutions for those with disability and long term unemployment.Through rapid growth, cultural change, driving value, managing supply chain and translating vision into strategy, he successfully delivered a range of high profile government contracts. Brose Simon joined Blessing Agencies in 2012 as part of the senior management team, he provides a dedicated resource working in partnership with different network and acting as the link between them and our central support services.
Penelope Gibson Senior Care Coordinator for Blessing Agencies Ltd. Penelope has worked with Blessing Agencies Limited since 2014 and has excellent knowledge of the healthcare industry.Having previously worked and train with Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Support Team for 3 years, Penelope has in-depth experience of understanding the care requirements for you or your loved one, as well getting to know your personality and preferences of our clients. She has the responsibility to ensure that care workers arrive at the correct time and are able to complete their home visits efficiently. She also ensures that if there are any changes to the care workers due to sickness or holiday that you are informed straight away.She’s also ensure that the care workers who visit each customer are qualified to work to the agreed care plan and that they match any specific needs requested by the customer.Penelope delivers fantastic customer service, her helpful nature of work; specific duties ensure that our client’s and their careers need are perfectly met.
